After the sacking of Coruscant the treaty was signed, and it left a bad taste in the mouth of many.
Much chagrined and skeptical of the future of this galaxy divided and oppressed a Council of Jedi Masters and Military Commanders were called. They met in secret, deep inside a frozen base on Hoth.
Over many days the issues of the galaxy were discussed by these auspicious masters and weathered military commanders. Deciding finally that no matter the cost, a force needed to be assembled with the purpose of maintaining peace, defending the defenseless, preemptive striking the aggressive, and upholding the Republic where it was weakest in these uncertain times.
The Council decided that without a group organized for the purpose of combating distress and panic, the Republic would quickly crumble in the cold war to come. Further more the Masters knew that they could not lead this force. The taint of the previous war was too deep on them, they were public figures and notable servants of the Republic, too much scrutiny for a covert group to function correctly.
At the end of this summit, Order 13 was signed. A covert group was organized Codename: Valor.
The Council of Valor was chosen from students attending the academy on Tython, marked for their leadership potential and given the strictest instructions on the governance and operational directive. Military personnel and adjutants were selected from young enlisted personnel and officers. Even a few off color citizens convicted of minor crimes were given release orders with the conditions that they serve this covert group and help supply and transport it.
Taskgroup: Valor was assembled. Now it had to operate on it's own and build it's own strength to execute their ongoing mission.
Rank Structure:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Starting from lowest to highest, the rank structure, duties and responsibilities with advancement opportunities will be outlined.
1. Inductee
-----------------------------------------------------------
-When a suitable Candidate is discovered they can be given security clearance and inducted into the Taskgroup. Their first two weeks in the Taskgroup will be monitored and they will be evaluated to see if they are suitable for service. After two weeks the Council will hear opinions from the Inductee's superiors and either promote them or see them out.
-Inductees should RP with the group and make themselves available however they can, after two weeks they'll be moved on to an Operator and their actions will no longer be scrutinized.
2. Operator
-----------------------------------------------------------
-An Operator is the regular serviceman of the Taskgroup. They perform covert operations, defense actions, diplomatic relations, supply missions, and any other suitable missions the Taskgroup undertakes. Their special skills can come from any training regime, be it Jedi, Soldier, or Private Citizen.
-Operators are autonomous workers, who report as needed to their superiors or when ordered to. In the Republic rank structure an Operator can technically hold any rank inside the Military or Government as needed, commanding forces requisitioned to them or even acting as a lowly private amongst the military. No matter what their Republic rank they still must adhere to the structure of the Taskgroup. After two weeks as an Operator, the person may challenge for a test and an evaluation to be promoted. Should they pass they are promoted, failure results in a 1 week waiting period before they can challenge again.
3. OFC (Operator First Class)
-----------------------------------------------------------
-An Operator who successfully completes their test and proves themselves capable will be promoted to Operator First Class. OFC's are given slightly more responsibility than Operators and have authority to ask for Operator and Inductee support on Missions or Assignments.
-An OFC is a supervisor for Operators and Inductees, their opinions weigh heavily on the Council's decision to promote Inductees to Operators. After 4 weeks as an OFC they may petition their superiors for a Council Evaluation. The Council will watch the OFC for a week and then vote on whether to promote them.
4. Warrant Officer (WO)
-----------------------------------------------------------
-A Warrant Officer is an NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) that has authority over the group of OFC's, Operators and Inductees. They enact the orders that come down from the Council, and they are the direct link between the Enlisted and the Officials that report to the Council. They are responsible for Monitoring the progress of all Inductees, Operators, OFC's on their promotions and making sure that Operational Security is maintained.
-A Warrant Officer is promoted because of ability and leadership. They are expected to be the voice of the leadership in any absence as well as the Disciplinarians of the Guild. An effective and talented Warrant Officer can be promoted if there is a need or an opening above them.
5. Chief Warrant Officer (CWO)
-----------------------------------------------------------
-A Chief Warrant Officer is the highest enlisted rank, they are the direct link from their Warrants to the Council and it's Officials. A Chief Warrant oversees all actions and missions below them, ensures the quality of their Warrants work, and ensures that all things are running correctly for the Taskgroup.
-CWO's are rare and limited to usually only 1 person. They must embody the RP of the Guild, and seek to reward and represent the Enlisted. Any issues with the Guild the CWO will be spoken to first.
6. Ambassador
-----------------------------------------------------------
-The Ambassador is a Non-Council official that is responsible for all Non-Combat oriented dealings in the Taskgroup. They are the Officer in charge of all healing, diplomatic, foreign relations, information gathering and financial missions.
-Ambassador is the RP master of the Guild, monitoring current RP lines, and producing new ones as well as organizing RP events and keeping the RP of the guild On Track.
7. Warmaster
-----------------------------------------------------------
-The Warmaster is the Combat Operations Command Officer(No I will not refer to it as a COCO). This Officer is in command of all combat and Warzone action for the taskgroup. They monitor Combat feeds, work on Recruiting new members and generally issue missions to the Enlisted.
- PVP Lead for the Guild, generally runs most Combat RP, works with the Ambassador setting up RP events. Both the Warmaster and Ambassador have equal authority over the Guild. Both the Warmaster and Ambassador serve as the Guild Officials that report to the Council.
8. Councillor
-----------------------------------------------------------
- The Council is the governing body of the Taskgroup. Never to be fewer than 3 members, it operates on a Majority Rules mandate to run the Taskgroup as it sees fit. The Council's wishes are issued to the Officials (Ambassador and Warmaster) and then issued to the rest of the Taskgroup. Councillors have the authority to assume control over any group of people in the taskgroup for any purpose, they can lead diplomatic missions, or combat operations as they see fit, whatever suits their interests. A Councillor is elected by the other members of the Council, a majority vote is required to add a new Councillor. The Criteria for a new councillor is that they must have served as a Warrant Officer or greater in their time. Most often when Council positions open they are given to the Warmaster or the Ambassador once a suitable replacement is found for them.
-The Councillors and the Guildmaster have equal power, each of them forming the single governing body that is responsible for the guild.
9th Rank will be listed as Currently Undergoing Negligence Training or CUNT. If you're a CUNT you don't get any channels access and will be held as such for about a week until such a time as you're no longer a CUNT and don't need to be educated on how to interact with others. Be Good or you'll be listed as a CUNT.
So outlines the chain of command and governance of Taskgroup: Valor. As we're just in formative stages now, please apply for the positions you'd like if you're looking for responsibility. If not you'll be initated as an Operator.
